[WIP] MobiFlight PFP7 MCDU Profile for X-Plane (Partial Mapping)

Want to get your PFP7 hardware working as an MCDU in X-Plane? This MobiFlight profile gets the groundwork done for you!

Please note that this is a Work in Progress (WIP). While the core functionality is there, some buttons are currently unmapped or do not yet have placements due to X-Plane data ref limitations and my time constraints.

I have kept the buttons on the MCDU in relatively the same place as the PFP7

Current Status & Button Mapping:

Here is exactly what is working, what has been remapped, and what is currently missing.

🟢 What Works Perfectly:

• Alphanumeric Keypad: All keys A–Z and 0–9 are fully functional.

• Special Keys: Decimal (.), Plus/Minus (+/-), Forward Slash (/), SP (Space), and CLR (Clear).

• Screen & Backlight Control:

  • BRT + / - controls the LCD Display brightness.

  • INTEG LT knob/dial controls the LED backlight for letters and numbers (Tested/Working in the ToLiss).

• Hardware LEDs:

  • FAIL LED illuminates when the Master Warning is triggered.

  • EXEC LED + MSG LED illuminate when the Master Caution is triggered.

🔄 Custom Button Re-mappings (PFP7 Key ➡️ MCDU Action): Because the physical PFP7 layout differs slightly from a standard MCDU, some buttons have been intelligently remapped:

• INIT REF ➡️ DIR

• RTE ➡️ PROG

• DEP ARR ➡️ PERF

• ALTN ➡️ INIT

• VNAV ➡️ DATA

• FIX ➡️ F-PLAN

• LEGS ➡️ RAD NAV

• HOLD ➡️ FUEL PRED

• FMC COMM ➡️ SEC F-PLAN

• PROG ➡️ ATC COMM

• EXEC ➡️ MCDU MENU

• DEL ➡️ OVFY

🔴 What is NOT Implemented Yet:

• AIRPORT Button: Currently unmapped/not working as I ran out of physical buttons on the hardware.

How to Install:

1. Load the file into MobiFlight.
