| VH-YWE is the very last of Virgin Australia's 737NG orders to be fulfilled, with the airline having taken delivery of the aircraft in January of 2018. This being the case, any future orders from Boeing are for the 737 MAX variants. At the time of writing there are currently 8 737-8 models and 25 737-10 models on order, with the first expected to be delivered in February 2023.
I decided to paint this aircraft because of the notable delivery, but also because I was unhappy with the existing paints available for the default/Zibo 737-800.
